The Swiss-based furniture company Vitra approached The Gaabs for a revamp of Workspirit, a bi-annual publication that examines office culture and the future of work. The Gaabs refreshed Workspirit to showcase Vitra's legacy, revealing the timeless pieces and innovative collaborations that keep Vitra at the forefront of modern design.

The Gaabs undertook an in-depth tour of the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein to gain a better understanding of the achievements and ambitions of Vitra. This research-led approach continued back in Berlin, where further recent studies in furniture and the future of office design were explored and discussed.

The resulting 180-page Workspirit publication was a lavish celebration of Vitra and their aspirations for modern design. Not only showcasing Vitra’s latest projects, but also revealing their innovative collaborations, values and passions through crafted editorial and a new visual language.

The magazine features artists Thomas Demand and Ingacio Uriarte, as well as reportage on the changing work environment. The edition showcased the thoughts and opinions of respected designers Barber Osgerby and the Bourroullec brothers, and interviews with the architect Pierre de Meuron and interior designer Sevil Peach complete the editorial.
