01 No.10, The Crisis Issue

Crisis – a turning point, crucial or decisive.

A change resulting in either improvement or deterioration. A struggle that has reached its pinnacle and needs to be resolved. In all aspects of our society – political, economical, social, and environmental – a crisis is that moment where the breaking point is reached, and the only choice before us is fight or flight.

What are you afraid of? Is it rational or evolutionary? Should you run screaming or face it head on?

Instead of hiding or repressing, we embraced our fears. We scrutinized them openly and asked: Why? We defined the synonyms of our crisis by playing with the stereotypes and twisting the metaphors.

03 No.08, The Ego Issue

”Believe in your fucking self. Stay up all fucking night. Work outside of your fucking habits. Know when to fucking speak up. Good things come to those who work their ass off and never give up. Go and fucking find your inner demons. Never give up or let someone else make decisions which are supposed to be yours. If they don’t like you as the skinny girl you are, try to be a fucking plus-size. If life gives you a lemon make sure there is tequila around. If being number 14th in the world sucks work harder and become number one. If you want to hide go and hide in a fucking smart way. If you are going crazy. Don’t worry. Your mind is way too complex to keep it healthy. If you don’t want to show your face show your feet. Don’t fit in. Fit better. They don’t believe in your idea? Ignore it and take the challenge. Take pictures of yourself no fucking matter how you look, you are just doing it to prove you are alive anyway. You are the result of 4 billion years of evolutionary success. Fucking act like it. It’s you. The next big thing.”

04 No.07, The Wrong Issue

The 7th issue of I LOVE YOU magazine explores the creative possibilities of a switched perspective. "Errare humanum estaddresses".Being wrong is no mistake. We explore using beauty care advocated by grandmothers. Examine why some women would rather be beautiful than smart in a poignant essay written by Mahret Kupka. Look at an art project where Michael Landy addresses that hidden desire to sabotage all of your belongings. Conduct a fashion shoot with a wedding photographer in Kreuzberg. And interview the irrepressible Tyra Banks, one of the strongest and most incorruptible women we've ever met. In “The wrong issue” we are proud to say - “We have done everything right”.
